Kelvin's Engagement Story
Kelvin - You know that you are meant to be together with someone when you really don't care what your plans are. As long as you are together, everything is perfect.
June - When you want to spend every second of your waking life with someone, never have to question each other's actions, and can read each other's minds. You share laughter and support each other through the tough times. Your friend starts counting the two of you as one. This is when you know you've found the flawless match. And I am glad to have found my true love. XOXOXO .
Kelvin - The first time I saw June, I thought that she was another girl I had met before. I said to her, "Fanny?" and she said "No". I was embarrassed... It turned out that June and Fanny actually knew each other and went to the same school! I wasn't alone as I later found out everybody thought they were twins. Even June's own mother!
June - What a cheap drunk!
The first time Kelvin and June met was at a party through a mutual friend. Kelvin has been a few months out from his first long-term relationship. Since then he has been trying his luck with other women. "It wasn't fair that other woman were being denied a piece of the Kelvinator! Let's give them a taste!" he joked.
Kelvin arrived at the party with his date from school. Another girl [Enter June] who was an outside member from Kelvin's group of friends and was responsible for running some interference between Kelvin and his date at the party. June's mission was to spend as much time with Kelvin as possible and in doing so, keeping the date away. Awesome plan right? Problem was that they had no idea that bachelorhood has carved the Kelvinator into DA-BOMB with DA-women! Well, at least according to Kelvin ...
The night ended off with June, Kelvin, and a couple other friends going to have some drinks and sing some songs. Kelvin ended up passing out drunk on June's lap for the remainder of the night.
The next morning, Kelvin's buddy played a joke on him. He told Kelvin that he totally lost control while drunk. Kelvin felt terrible and apologized profusely to June, but luckily she told him that it was alright and nothing had happened. Kelvin's buddy later confessed that he made the story up. Everybody had so much fun, that they went out to drink again the following week.
June was actually unhappy in a relationship at the time of all this. She was seeing somebody for 2 years who never really showed her affection. She forgot how it felt like to have fun and be in a real relationship. After spending time, laughing and sharing endless conversations with Kelvin, she ended her relationship with her boy-friend at the time. Kelvin was very supportive and patient through all of this.
As the cliché goes, "The rest is history". From April 5 1996, Kelvin and June spent every moment of their lives with each other. All of their friends would tell you that they are inseparable and are attached at the hips : )
Kelvin and June share a sense of responsibility and adventure. They have since bought a house, sold it and have been on many great trips around the world together. In the winter, if there is snow, you can find them snowboarding down any ski resort they can get to. After 10 wonderful years Kelvin and June is finally getting married. Their wedding date is set for May 8th, 2006.
